The Karachi Middle Education Council (BIEK) announced on Thursday the results of the 2019 Upper Secondary School Certificate Annual Examination for the Premedical Part II and Medical Technology Part II groups.

According to statistics, the jury had registered 5,064 male candidates for the annual examination of the pre-medical group part II. Among them, 4,918 candidates took the exams while only 1,956 passed all their tests. Thus, the percentage of successful aspirants remained at 39.77.

Likewise, the board had also enrolled 20,743 female students for the same exams. Of these, 20,434 took the exams and 10,653 percent erased their papers. Thus, 52.13% of female students passed their exams.

Usman Ali, a student at Dehli Government Degree College, took first place with 1,010 points out of 1,100. Javeria Khan, a student from BAMM PECHS Government College for Women, came in second with 1,001 points out of 1,100 while that Hafsa Nadeem, a student of the BAMM PECHS Government College for Women, came third with 996 points.

Supervisors registered 73 cases against candidates allegedly involved in the use of unfair means during exams. However, board officials are committed to providing a fair opportunity to these candidates and ordered them to appear before the judicious committee. The results of these candidates were accepted by the board.

If the committee exonerated those candidates from the allegations, council officials would publish their results.

Likewise, BIEK had only registered three students for annual medical technology exams. Among them, two students took the exams and only one student declared having passed with a C grade.
